While just writing information with evidence for the research essay was easy, but coming up with a genre was hard because I was confused about what information should I take from the research essay. For the first genre, I choose to do an article because I want to deliver my message about the importance of angels in Islam through most information as possible so I decided to do an article so my audience can read about everything that they should know about my topic. Since my research essay covers everything that I want to talk about. For the first genre, I choose to do an article so I can use more information from my research essay and for the second I want to choose a genre where less information can touch my audience. Therefore, I decided to choose social media posts and another reason was when I look into social media I came across various Islamic posts. Those posts inspire me every day, and everything is cited with verses from the Quran. I thought I could do something similar because the information that I want to share with my audience will catch their attention since it’s about my audience’s beliefs. My audiences are mostly the Islam believers but also those who believe in Angels differently than what Quran and Hadith say. I just choose the main topic sentence from my research essay and add some important details about each angel’s role and their importance in short for the social media post. So far I came up with my details for each genre with creativity. I have worked with genres before, so I feel this assignment is mostly about genres that reflect creativity with message delivery about the topic to your audience. I am feeling confident about doing this project because of my experiences working with genres before. Additionally, I was worried at the beginning since it’s a college-level work but after finishing the genres I feel tension-free because it came well.
